Tranent Amateur Swimming Club (TASC), was established in 1973 and is one of the longest established clubs in East Lothian. We are based at Tranent's sports centre, the Loch Centre, but also train at a number of swimming pools in the county.

 

We are a club focused on helping children, from 6 years old onwards, build and enhance their swimming abilities in a safe and fun environment. Our swimmers range from club entry level to those competing at British Championship level.

 

We have been awarded Scottish Swimming's "SwiMark" accreditation demonstrating good practice in the development of our athletes, coaches, and volunteers.

 

Our beliefs

 

At TASC, we firmly believe in training all of our swimmers to build the best technique in all four strokes as well as starts and turns. By using this form of training from the day our swimmers enter the club, we believe we are giving the child the best chance of long-term success.

 

We believe in having a strong team environment and encourage our swimmers to support each other when at competitions and team events and enjoy the great atmosphere created by the swimmers and spectators supporting the club.
